Update Elderly home in Jaffna

With support of the Lions Vinkeveen and private donations 3 years ago Medi-Aid was able to provide this nursing home in Jaffna with beds, linens, mattresses, pillows and mosquito nets. Last December we made yet another visit to this house. The sister in charge was very happy to see us. She has the heavy task to run the house with the limited options and money it has but the house is well looked after and still well maintained. Some residents recognized Martin and Carla from previous visits and they were very happy to see them again. See the pictures here below we made of our visit to this home. (The first picture is of Martin and one resident who reached the amazing age of 100 years  earlier this year.)

In cooperation with Lions Vinkeveen Waverveen Medi-Aid was able to provide this nursing home with new beds mattresses and bedding. Together with the Sri Lanka Police Force stationed in Jaffna, the former war zone, the house was totally cleaned, painted and updated.
